The BBC Horizon TV science program ran a special last week entitled God On The Brain and as a result, there are a plethora of interesting supporting articles on the subject in this week’s UK Telegraph newspaper. The most interesting of these is about the visual focalpoint for the entire GOTB series, namely, trying to give Richard Dawkins a religious experience by hooking him up to a God Machine. Perhaps unsurprisingly, nothing happened. For society as a whole, though, a predisposition for religious experiences may well be imbedded into our very DNA, where it serves a survival function allowing people to find a reason to band together and so increase their chances of survival. Such a pragmatic viewpoint doesn’t deny the existence of God; who’s to say that’s not precisely how a Creator may have organized the very minds of men?

That would be "Biblical"
I had this article I submitted to /. (didn’t get accepted). I thoroughly reviewed it for errors, only to realize, after submitting it, that there were *three* typos in the subject line. Boy did I feel stupid.
