at least as far as their presence has any implications at all for our universe – which most of these theories do. The slate article does quite a good job summarizing the arguments.

we really don’t have to bother about any other universe or multiverse or whatever you may call it. this universe is all we have and by itself is already giving our intellectuals a gargantuan headache…. so why bother. and if perchance there really are parallel universes, they can’t affect us….parallels don’t meet. right?
