All Space Advocates Please Listen!

I urge all who believe in the importance of space colonization — of whatever type — to listen to
Steven Wolfe’s recent interview
on the Space Show. He has a great deal of importance to say about what the public needs to hear, in contrast to what it has actually been hearing about space in recent years. Also, he has an excellent essay in the current issue of Ad Astra, the magazine of the National Space Society, titled “Space Settlement: The Journey Inward,” which in my opinion every person who cares about space ought to read.

For those of you not familiar with it, The Space Show, hosted by Dr. David Livingston, broadcasts a 75 or 90 minute radio interview with a different space expert or advocate twice each week, and all the past interviews are archived in Windows Media Player format so that you can either listen directly or download them. (I personally don’t download as many as I’d like to because my connection is very slow, so I won’t attempt to point to other outstanding ones.) They can also be heard live on the Internet and questions for the speaker can be phoned or e-mailed in; details and a schedule of forthcoming interviews are at the site.

I was on the Space Show myself last October, and my interview can also be accessed at the site — but Steven Wolfe is a much better speaker than I am!

Good suggestion to post this here. Sylvia’s interview last fall was excellent, by the way!
