Nigerian newspapers today quotes the president Olusegun Obasanjo for saying that Nigeria would be in space in the next 15 years.
"In 15 to 25 years, we will put Nigeria into space. We will get there. It is not as unattainable as it looks. And we have to do it."

Wow… They’re definitely not on my top-10 list of countries going into space any time soon—or even my top 50. Hope they make it.

Nigeria has the biggest population of any African nation. They have quite a diverse population. If they’re aiming to follow India, for instance, India may be 8 or 9 times as big, but it has been launching satellites since 1980. Not so unlikely that Nigeria would follow along.
