Cartoonist Tim Kreider’s comic “The Pain – When Will It End?” presents a reasoned comparison of scientific views of the universe’s and humankind’s origins as opposed to those of Norse mythology in his one-page comic from December, Science vs. Norse Mythology.

There was what seemed a good discussion (I only heard part of it) on Diane Rehm’s show this morning on NPR, between a Southern Baptist “Intelligent Design” advocate and various scientists.
And, ooh, that comic page is great – but a painful ending!

Another scientific-oriented episode is The Sorrows of Pluto, and then there is also
The Moon (although this one is R-rated).
