More than 800 mud volcanoes have been discovered across the world. Nearly 350 of them are in Azerbaijan. Here, mud volcanoes differ from those in other countries for not only their large number, but they differ for morphological properties, high activity and beautiful view as well.

By means of this bibliography you can find all significant scientific books, articles and other issues about mud volcanoes of Azerbaijan written in English, Russian and Azerbaijani languages. These sources are all about mud volcanoes, the results of the researches, conferences and symposiums of past times. In the list, there are also names of literature on prettiness, and significance in medicine and construction, and protection problems, and danger for human life, and etc. of mud volcanoes. The nearly 450 authors of the literatures are scientists in geology, geophysics and geochemistry from USA, England, Italy, Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and etc.

The authors of the bibliography are the scientists of the Geology Institute at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (GIA) – doctors of geological-mineralogical sciences Adil Aliyev and Ragid Rahmanov, and candidate of geological-mineralogical sciences Tamilla Gasanaliyeva. It has been published in the GIA and is the second edition after the bibliography which was released in 1976. The first book is consisting of the names of more than 800 literatures printed in 1828-1976.

I’m usually pretty loose about moderating submissions, but this article is useless without some sort of reference to the bibliography. A link, publication information, anything will do.

You have to make an agreement with the Geology Institute of Azerbaijan to get the bibliography.

Not sure at all what the point of Said’s post was to be honest, other than to try and get some publicity for his client. But, I certainly don’t want SciScoop readers having to enter into agreements with the GIA! Sounds very dodgy and I suspect there would be a fee.
