Papers accepted by Physical Review Letters this past week show that the theoretical speculations by Brian Naranjo and Seth Putterman of UCLA, on which Reich/Nature based their assertions of “hot air” by Taleyarkhan do not match empirical examinations.

While I am no wild supported of cold fusion theories, I have been appalled at the spectacle of otherwise rational scientists falling over themselves to condemn any results in this area as fraud at worst and mistakes at best. Let the scientific method take its course and always keep a neutral mind.

My hat is off to the New Energy Times for pursuing, with such diligence, the controversy that has surrounded this fusion technology.
This is not “cold” fusion, as the previous commenter alluded, but seems to be a true low energy nuclear reaction.
