sciart Thursday, March 20, 2008 . This is a SciScoop post by David Bradley
This art-meets-science image is based upon a theory of how galaxies may have formed, starting as huge clouds of gas till they became so dense in the center that a black hole forms and begins stirring the cloud, swirling it and initiating the birth of a galaxy. The image shows a proto-galaxy in a black void and starships observing the event.
