Help with Science Fair!!
By scidude, Section Ask SciScoop

Biology For my science fair project, I am doing it on "is the iris imprint more reliable than the fingerprint?"

But I don't know how to do a scientific experiment to find out that answer. Please could someone help me???

I haven't seen this particular problem in the various science fair sites I occasionally visit, but as SEWilco suggests there are plenty of ways of finding hints to an answer. First off you need to revise the concept of a scientific experiment, so search for that first. Once you've got the basic idea have a shufty at the science experiments on my site to see how they are put together and then adapt the concepts you learn through reading and understanding those to devise your own experiment.

I've changed this from the MLP section to the "Ask SciScoop" section.

Do your homework (none / 0) (#2)

Maybe you should do your own homework. Start with searching for "iris reliability" and "fingerprint reliability". Maybe "probability" or "error" would also be useful words. Try searching with both "iris" and "fingerprint" in the search terms so you'll find other comparisons. Try looking in a library for books and articles on security technologies.
